Charlon Armont, better known as Charlie, is a former priest that now works as a forger. He is from Madrence.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Charlie used to be a dedicant priest of the Madrentine Order of the Sons of Tiber. He tells Corayne that the vow of celibacy wasn't for him though. He is now a forger. He can perfectly replicate almost every seal and signature in Allward, and thus there's a high bounty on his head in nearly every kingdom. He's wanted by Madrence alone for trespassing, thievery, arson, destruction to holy property, forgery, banditry, bribery of a priest, bribery of an officer, bribery of a noble, bribery of a royal, attempted murder, and murder.[1]
Realm Breaker[]
Sorasa Sarn brings Dom, Andry Trelland, Corayne, and Valtik to Adira in order to find Charlie. It's clear that Sorasa and Charlie have a history. Charlie reminds Sorasa that he never leaves the walls of Adira. Sorasa and Corayne convince Charlie that saving the Ward is worth it and that Sorasa will protect him from bounty hunters. As the group leaves Adira, Dom realizes that Sorasa is using Charlie as bait to get Sigil of the Temurijon to come to them.

Personality[]
Charlie has a jovial manner, although he is perturbed by Andry's politeness. He has a keen focus. Corayne and Charlie become quick friends as she is more accustomed to criminals than anyone else. Underneath Charlie's geniality is a lethal edge. He likes to be prepared.
Physical Description[]
Charlie is a short, heavyset, stubby, young man. He doesn't look older than twenty. He has round, mud brown eyes and thick, mud brown hair held back from his face by a tight braid. His skin is unnaturally pale from spending too much time inside. He has a strongman's gut, broad, rounded shoulders, short legs, wide-set hips, and arms oddly long for his frame. He looks like a bull. He has the build of a laborer, sturdy as a wall. However, his hands are thin, delicate, and skillful. The tips of his fingers are permanently stained with a dull, dark blue ink. Charlie's face is unlined by age, his skin is as smooth as marble, and it's the color of honeyed milk. His skin becomes streaked by sunburns during the journey. Besides the tools of his trade, Charlie carries a hand ax, a short sword, and a wicked-looking hook on a loop of rope.
